Help on Wheels is a registered NDIS provider specialising in Supported Independent Living (SIL), In-Home Care, and professional nursing services. We are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that empowers people living with disability to achieve their goals and live independently.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for Support Care Workers and Registered Nurses to join our dedicated team.
Support Care Worker
Essential Criteria
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability), or an equivalent qualification (including a medication unit), or at least 12 months of relevant industry experience.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal care and daily living support.
- Meal preparation.
- Community access and social participation.
- Assistance with mobility and transfers.
- Support participants to achieve their individual goals.
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes.
Registered Nurse
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 6 months of clinical nursing experience.
- Sound knowledge of participant deterioration, clinical observations, and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Flexible and reliable.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the community.
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop care plans.
- Monitor participant health and identify signs of deterioration.
- Administer medications and clinical interventions.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure care is delivered in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards.
