About the Role
Blossom Community Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to support clients in the community. The role involves delivering person-centred care to enhance clients’ independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Supporting clients with mobility and safe transfers
- Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation and light household tasks
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients’ health or wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting clients with community participation and appointments
- Following all workplace health and safety and infection control procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar role
- Relevant qualification such as Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A compassionate and patient approach to care
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
