About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Female Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support to a female NDIS participant in Caringbah and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the participant with daily activities, personal care, household tasks and community participation while promoting independence, dignity and choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support in accordance with the participant's support plan and NDIS goals.
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities, where required.
- Support meal preparation and light household duties.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with community access, appointments and social activities.
- Encourage independence and participation in meaningful activities.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and other required documentation.
- Follow all relevant NDIS policies, procedures and safety requirements.
- Maintain professional boundaries and respect the participant's privacy, dignity and choices.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Female and available to provide support to a female participant
- Caring, patient, respectful and non-judgemental.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Experienced in disability, aged care, community services or similar.
- Confident working independently.
- Able to build a positive and professional relationship with participants.
- Flexible with availability, including weekdays and weekends as required.
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Working with Children Check, where applicable.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion.
- Australian working rights.
- Previous disability or community support experience is highly desirable.
