Bene Aged Care is currently seeking a reliable, hands-on, and experienced Maintenance Officer (Handyman) to join our team on a full-time basis, primarily based at our St Agnes Residential Facility, with the flexibility to work across other Bene Aged Care sites as required.

About Your Role
As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out general handyman duties, repairs, and maintenance across buildings and equipment

Performing painting, patching, minor carpentry, and general upkeep tasks

Conducting preventative maintenance in line with organisational policies and procedures
-
Accessing Manad on Bene’s network to manage and respond to maintenance requests
-
Identifying maintenance issues and escalating works requiring external contractors
-
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities completed
-
Supporting maintenance requirements across multiple Bene Aged Care sites as needed
-
Participating in on-call duties as required
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
-
Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance, repairs, and handyman work
-
Ability to undertake painting, minor repairs, and maintenance of equipment and facilities
-
Current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Current Driver's Licence
-
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
-
Willingness to travel and work across different Bene Aged Care sites when required
Desirable:
-
Previous experience in an aged care, healthcare, or community services environment
-
Test and Tag Certificate
-
Trade qualification or relevant maintenance experience
-
Italian language skills (advantageous but not essential)
