Sunstate Electrical are specialists in the commissioning and maintenance of high voltage substations for both utility and private sector customers. We are a Brisbane based company delivering high voltage services throughout Queensland and rural Australia. With growth in our testing, commissioning and maintenance work, we are seeking a high voltage substation electrician to join our team.
With a focus on high quality technical services, it is important that the prospective employee shows a high level of integrity and shares our values:
commissioning, testing and maintenance of secondary systems, power transformers, primary plant and switchgear
preparing testing ad commissioning documentation including test sheets and reports
experience with electrical construction works, earthing, transformer and switchgear installation, panel wiring, fault finding and repair on HV switchgear.
Qualified Electrical Fitter/Mechanic with a current Queensland Electrical Licence
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in the high voltage substation industry
General Construction Induction course (blue/white card)
Drivers Licence
Willing to travel throughout Queensland and rural Australia.
Previous experience with a power authority
Power station experience
HV Switching authorisation
Current Standard 11 Mining Induction and Queensland Coal Board Medical.
