About the role
The Product Owner - Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, will play the product owner role in implementation of, and once live, continuous improvement for business-critical CRM, Sales, Field Services, Digital Contact Centre solutions; and support Azure Data Lake and Microsoft Fabric/BI projects within a complex organisational environment.
The Product Owner is responsible for co-ordinating the feature backlog for all releases to the platform and translating features into technical requirements following Agile delivery principles.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of the project implementation group, work with the Enterprise Change and Delivery team and Implementation Partners on the solution design, testing, development, and deployment of D365 CRM, Sales, Field Services, to support the projects being delivered.
Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to capture technical and configuration requirements for features and product backlog.
Develop feature specifications, business cases for unplanned technical scope, functional specifications, process models and state transition models.
Establish and enforce governance processes to maintain data integrity, security, and AI alignment with organizational policies.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including solution architecture, data flows, integration points, and process workflows.
Define, track, and continuously refine product value propositions aligned to strategic objectives and measurable business outcomes.
Contribute to the analysis of business processes, identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches, typically seeking to exploit technological capabilities.
Evaluate the technological, organisational, and environmental factors which must be addressed in the technology change program.
Develop requirement specifications, business cases, functional specifications, process models and state transition models.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with technical teams ensuring high levels of professionalism, operational efficiencies, operational excellence, continuous improvement, customer engagement and satisfaction.
Own acceptance criteria and Definition of Done to ensure product increments meet agreed quality standards and user expectations.
Lead or contribute to product discovery activities, including user research, market analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
Skills and Experiences:
About you
Selection Attributes
Tertiary qualifications in a business or technology related field and/or significant industry experience
Minimum 5 plus years' experience delivering Microsoft D365, solutions specifically CRM and Power Platform as a System engineer or Product owner within complex organisations, projects, and programs.
In depth knowledge and working experience of CRM and digital contract centre systems, integration, and reporting solutions.
Experience delivering programs within a DevOps landscape, with a strong understanding of tools and methodologies.
Understanding of risk management frameworks
In depth knowledge and experience of D365 CRM and CRM Sales processes and the ability to pick up various IT systems quickly
Strong experience of D365 CRM and PowerPlatform configuration
Facilitation -developed facilitation and communication skills with an ability to establish productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Well-developed presentation skills to facilitate corporate applications training sessions.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to resolve problems and continuously improve the solutions environment.
Ability to motivate, persuade, convince, and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
