Greenhalgh Pickard is a well-established accounting and legal services firm with offices across the Sunshine Coast. We're looking for an experienced Accounting Client & Team Manager to join our Kawana Waters office, taking ownership of how our accounting team operates day to day as the practice continues to grow.
About the Role
As Accounting Client & Team Manager, you'll be the driving force behind how our accounting team runs, keeping lodgements on track, work fairly and sensibly allocated, performance managed, and client relationships well looked after. This is a hands-on role at the centre of the practice, working closely with partners, accountants, and clients alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee ATO lodgement deadlines and compliance across the team's client portfolios, keeping the firm's lodgement program on track
- Allocate client work across accountants and bookkeepers based on workload, capacity, and expertise
- Manage team performance, including KPIs, regular check-ins, coaching, and staff reviews
- Act as a key point of contact for client liaison, managing relationships and resolving escalations
- Monitor work in progress (WIP) and billing to ensure jobs are tracked and invoiced accurately
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of accounting staff
- Coordinate rosters and leave to ensure adequate team coverage across busy periods
- Liaise with partners and directors on team capacity, priorities, and staffing needs
- Maintain accurate office and team records, and manage day-to-day administrative documentation
- Oversee compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant workplace legislation
About You
- Proven experience managing a team within an accounting or professional services environment
- Familiarity with ATO lodgement obligations and deadlines
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities across a busy team
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, partners, and staff at all levels
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving

Pay: $68,378.93 – $80,000.00 per year
