We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to help the Maintenance team deliver safe, reliable and efficient maintenance outcomes across the Dampier Salt Limited Port Hedland Operations. This is an opportunity to lead critical maintenance activities, improve asset performance and develop team capability in a safety-critical environment.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will provide frontline leadership to a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical and contractor personnel while acting as the Statutory Electrical Supervisor for the operation
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary fixed plant maintenance team to deliver safe and reliable outcomes.
Champion critical risk management and visible safety leadership across maintenance activities.
Coordinate planned and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment availability and operational performance.
Prioritise daily work execution, resource allocation and schedule compliance using SAP or equivalent maintenance systems.
Support shutdown planning and execution to achieve safety, cost and productivity objectives.
Manage contractor performance, safety compliance and service delivery standards.
Investigate equipment failures and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Reliability and Supply Chain stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
An electrical trade qualification with an A Grade Electrical Licence (or equivalent) and eligibility for appointment as a Schedule 26 Statutory Electrical Supervisor under the WA Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams within mining, processing, manufacturing or other safety-critical industrial environments.
Experience leading multidisciplinary workgroups and managing contractor performance and compliance.
Experience using SAP or a comparable maintenance management system to manage maintenance execution and performance.
A current C Class Driver’s Licence, ability to obtain an MSIC card and hold the in-house Electrical Installing Work Licence.
Helpful for Success
Frontline leadership or supervisory qualifications.
Shutdown execution experience in a fixed plant environment.
Reliability, asset management or continuous improvement experience.
High Voltage switching experience and relevant High Risk Work Licences.

Dampier Salt Limited (DSL), located in Western Australia and comprising 2 solar operations at Dampier and Port Hedland is the world’s largest exporter of seaborne salt, harvesting millions of tonnes each year. DSL focuses on sustainable, premium salt production in thriving environments.
Between the 2 operations there are 53 ponds across 20,000 hectares, operated by a 99% residential workforce.
