About the Role
As a Crew Member – Construction and Maintenance, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality civil construction across the City. Working under the direction of a Supervisor and Crew Leader, you’ll undertake a variety of tasks across infrastructure works, including roads, footpaths, drainage, and public assets. You will also participate in job rotation, contributing to a flexible, multi-skilled workforce.
This is a physically active, team-oriented role that requires a strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
What we’re Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and members of the public
- Proven ability to complete work to required standards within agreed timeframes under supervision
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety procedures and practices
- Experience in operating plant and equipment such as excavators, tipper trucks, drainage trucks, plate compactors and other small plant
- Working knowledge of construction and maintenance practices, particularly for roads, footpaths and drainage
- Experience delivering public works infrastructure (e.g. earthworks, asphalt, concrete, drainage, brick paving, signage)
- Basic computer/IT skills, with the ability to learn new technology as required
- Relevant certificates, training or demonstrated industry capability
- Current WA Driver’s Licence and White Card
