At Big Event Picnic Tables we supply event furniture and activation infrastructure to some of Australia’s biggest festivals, sporting events, food & wine festivals, councils, venues and brand activations.
From major public events through to premium outdoor activations, we help create safe, functional and memorable event spaces across Australia.
We are now looking for an energetic and relationship-driven person to help grow our Sydney market by building industry relationships, generating opportunities, developing new event partnerships and helping deliver exceptional client experiences.
This is not a standard desk job.
It’s a flexible, hands-on role for someone who enjoys the events industry, building connections and helping create opportunities.
About The Role
This role is focused on:
- Building relationships within the events industry
- Following up leads and enquiries
- Helping generate new business opportunities
- Supporting repeat client growth
- Assisting with quotes and proposals
- Developing venue, agency and event partnerships
- Attending events and networking opportunities
- Working closely with our operations team to help deliver successful events
You’ll work across a mix of:
- Phone & email communication
- Client relationship management
- Event industry networking
- Onsite event visits
- Assisting with proposals and client solutions
- Light operational support where required
This is a part-time permanent role averaging approximately 24 hours per week over a 4 week period, with flexibility around event schedules and business requirements.
As the Sydney market continues to grow, there is genuine opportunity for this role to develop into a larger position and potentially transition into full-time for the right person.
The role may also involve opportunities to assist with interstate events, activations and major projects across Australia as the business continues expanding nationally.
