THE ROLE
As Store Manager, you will have full accountability for the performance, operations, and culture of our Khans IGA Cobar store. This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Leadership & People
- Lead, recruit, and develop a high-performing store team
- Build a positive, inclusive workplace culture where staff feel valued and motivated
- Deliver regular coaching, feedback, and performance conversations
Store Operations
- Oversee all day-to-day operations including stock management, merchandising, and pricing
- Maintain store standards, cleanliness, and full WHS compliance
- Drive shrinkage reduction and implement strong loss prevention practices
Customer Experience
- Champion a customer-first culture across every department
- Resolve escalated customer issues professionally and promptly
- Use customer feedback to continuously improve the in-store experience
Sales and Financial Management
- Manage store budgets, wage costs, and P&L targets
- Analyse sales data and act on trends to grow revenue and improve store profitablity.
- Plan and execute promotions in line with IGA campaigns and local community events
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Store Manager or senior retail leader (supermarket experience highly regarded)
- Proven track record of leading teams, driving sales, and managing costs
- Strong knowledge of supermarket operations, stock control, and merchandising
- Comfortable using retail management and POS systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays as required
- Full working rights in Australia (required)
- Able to follow directions from Khans higher management
