Flyin' Fox is a boutique food manufacturing business based in Murwillumbah, producing high-quality frozen ice blocks with a focus on Australian produce, organic principles, food safety, quality and strong team standards.
We are a small, practical and hands-on team, and we are looking for someone reliable, organised and capable who can work alongside our production staff while helping lead the team day to day.
About the Role
We are seeking a Production Team Leader to support daily production operations, work alongside Production Team Members on the floor, and help ensure production tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will be actively involved in production while also providing direction, support, training and accountability to team members.
The role will begin with learning the ropes as a Production Team Member to understand our products, processes, quality expectations and systems. As knowledge and confidence grow, the role will progress into greater team leadership, supervision and operational responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Work alongside Production Team Members on the production floor
- Lead by example in daily production tasks, cleanliness, food safety and quality standards
- Support workflow and help the team meet production targets
- Provide day-to-day direction, support and supervision to team members
- Help train staff in operational procedures, quality expectations and food safety requirements
- Conduct or support daily staff briefings
- Monitor completion of production records, cleaning tasks and supervisor sign-offs
- Escalate issues promptly to management where production, quality, equipment, staffing or safety may be affected
- Support compliance with food safety, HACCP, organic certification, and company procedures
- Keep digital schedules and to-do lists updated
- Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure completion
- Comply with WHS requirements, company rules, the Code of Conduct and injury/illness policies
About You
This role would suit someone who likes being active, organised and involved. You will need to be comfortable stepping into production tasks while also helping others stay on track safely.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Management or supervisory experience in a production, manufacturing, food, warehouse or operational environment
- A willingness to work hands-on alongside the team
- Strong communication skills and the ability to give clear direction respectfully
- Good organisational skills and the ability to keep tasks moving
- Practical problem-solving skills
- Confidence using basic computer systems and Microsoft Office
- A strong focus on food safety, quality, cleanliness and team conduct
- Reliability, accountability and a positive attitude
- Interest in Australian produce, organic production and small-batch food manufacturing

Pay: $33.84 – $34.96 per hour
