About us
Car Wash Wyndham is a locally owned and operated wash site on Ballan Road, Wyndham Vale. We run automatic and self-serve bays, vacuums and vending, and we are in the middle of a significant upgrade to the site. We are small, hands on, and we care a lot about how the place looks and how customers are treated.
About the role
This is not a job where you stand behind a counter. You are the face of the site and the person who keeps it running well. Your two priorities are simple: look after customers, and keep the site clean, safe and working.
What you will be doing
Customer service
- Greeting customers, answering questions and helping them choose the right wash
- Walking customers through the pay stations and self-serve bays when they are unsure
- Explaining and signing up customers to our Wash Club membership
- Handling complaints calmly and escalating anything you cannot resolve
- Being visible and approachable on site rather than out of sight
Site presentation and maintenance
- Cleaning and pressure washing bays, floors, walls and drains
- Emptying bins, clearing rubbish and keeping the vacuum and vending areas tidy
- Checking and topping up chemicals, consumables and vending stock
- Running daily equipment checks and reporting faults promptly and accurately
- Basic troubleshooting on wash equipment, pay terminals and vacuums (full training provided)
- Keeping the site safe for customers and vehicles, including hazard checks and spill response
When you will be working
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Weekend availability is essential. These are our busiest days and this role exists to cover them.
What we are looking for
Essential
- Reliable. If you are rostered on, you turn up on time, every time.
- Genuine customer service skills and a friendly, confident manner with strangers
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, on your feet, with a physical workload
- Able to work independently without someone standing over you
- Own reliable transport to Wyndham Vale (limited public transport, especially early and late)
- Right to work in Australia
Nice to have
- Previous car wash, service station, cleaning, hospitality or retail experience
- Mechanical aptitude or an interest in how equipment works
- Full driver licence
