About the role
The Administration Officer - Casual provides professional, efficient and confidential administrative support services across The Prince Charles Hospital. Working within Corporate Services, the role supports a variety of business areas and contributes to the delivery of high-quality administrative services that support patient care and hospital operations.
The successful candidate will perform a broad range of administrative duties across different service areas, including reception, admissions, referral management, scheduling, ward administration, call centre and switchboard functions. The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse and fast-paced healthcare environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, staff and stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
Prepare and manage accurate correspondence, administrative documentation and information systems while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
Perform a broad range of administrative functions including reception, scheduling, admissions, referral management, ward administration and call centre support.
Prioritise competing tasks, work autonomously and use sound judgement to identify and escalate issues when required.
Contribute positively to multidisciplinary teams while maintaining knowledge of administrative processes, policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
