You have strong analytical and communication skills, expertise in evidence gathering, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution, and the ability to interpret policies and functions to provide high-quality support and advice.
In this role, you'll:
Be working as part of a team delivering road safety outcomes through Safe System principles, safety investigations, stakeholder engagement and community focused programs.
This role will see you lead road safety reviews, coordinate speed zone assessments, provide safety advice, analyse customer data, respond to stakeholder enquiries, and support the delivery of behavioural safety activities across the region.
You will build safety focused solutions that improve network performance, customer outcomes and service consistency in a complex environment balancing community expectations, emerging safety issues and competing stakeholder interests.

This role will be based in Wollongong covering the South Coast precinct.
This role is hybrid friendly meaning flexible work options may be available.
About you
Your technical safety knowledge, analytical capability, strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to interpret complex data formed across government, transport, infrastructure or safety focused roles will see you assess emerging risks, respond effectively to safety issues, and bring evidence based advice and coordination to lead to improved community and network safety outcomes.
You’re recognised as collaborative and solutions focused, skilled at conducting safety assessments, analysing crash and network data, preparing clear advice and reports, and engaging with councils, agencies and communities, experienced in crash investigations, speed zone reviews, road safety planning and managing stakeholder relationships in high pressure or sensitive situations.
