We’re seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen Hand to support the daily operation of the kitchen at Busy Bees at Tamworth . Working alongside the centre’s Cook or Chef, you will help maintain a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen while supporting the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals for children aged from birth to five years.
This is a permanent part-time position working 15 hours per week , based in Tamworth, NSW.
What you’ll do
Assist with basic food preparation and the serving of meals and snacks
Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen environment
Support the Cook or Chef with food storage, stock rotation and kitchen organisation
Follow safe food handling, allergy management and hygiene procedures
Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies
Work collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team and educators
Follow all centre policies relating to child safety, food safety and workplace health and safety
What you’ll bring

Previous experience working in a kitchen, hospitality, catering or food service environment
Knowledge of safe food handling, kitchen hygiene and cleaning practices
An understanding of allergies, dietary requirements and cross-contamination risks
Strong organisation and time-management skills
A reliable, positive and collaborative approach
The ability to complete the physical requirements of the role, including standing, cleaning and safely handling kitchen equipment
A valid NSW Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
