About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic Catering Chef to join our growing kitchen team.
This is a full-time fixed-term contract from September to December 2026, supporting one of our busiest event seasons. For the right candidate, there is a strong opportunity to extend the contract into an ongoing permanent position as Bespoke Catering continues to expand.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing exceptional food. You'll be involved in every stage of premium event catering, from kitchen preparation to final plating and service at some of Sydney's most prestigious venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare exceptional food for premium corporate events, luxury weddings and private functions.
- Produce mise en place and assist with canapés, plated menus, buffets and shared feasts.
- Attend selected events across Sydney to finish, plate and present food alongside the catering team.
- Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across every dish.
- Support stock rotation, ingredient preparation and overall kitchen organisation.
- Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
- Communicate effectively with chefs, event staff and venue teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver outstanding events.
- Contribute ideas and continuously strive to improve our menus, presentation and guest experience.
About You

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a commercial kitchen and/or previous catering experience.
- Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an overseas equivalent qualification.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Valid Australian working rights or an appropriate work visa.
- Sound understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
Highly Regarded
- Previous experience in premium catering or event catering.
- Experience producing high-volume, high-quality food.
- Experience with canapé production, plated service and refined presentation.
