ront of House Staff — Job Description
ABURI is a new Japanese rice bowl restaurant opening in Hawthorn East, specialising in hot aburi-style Japanese rice bowls, takeaway and casual dining.
We are looking for friendly, reliable and energetic Front of House staff to join our opening team.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys customer service, can work quickly during busy periods, and is willing to learn. Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right person.
Duties include:
* Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner
* Taking customer orders accurately
* Operating POS system and handling payments
* Packing takeaway and delivery orders
* Managing pickup orders and delivery platform orders
* Preparing drinks and simple service items
* Keeping the front counter, dining area and pickup area clean and organised
* Restocking napkins, cutlery, packaging and drinks
* Communicating clearly with kitchen staff during busy service
* Supporting the team during lunch and dinner rush
* Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
We are looking for someone who is:
* Friendly, polite and customer-focused
* Reliable and punctual
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Comfortable speaking with customers in English
* Willing to learn and follow instructions
* Able to work as part of a small team
* Available for lunch shifts, dinner shifts and weekends where required
* Has valid working rights in Australia
Experience:
* Hospitality or customer service experience is preferred
* Restaurant, café, takeaway or fast-food experience will be highly regarded
* Training will be provided
