Your Opportunity
Join a team committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with disability or developmental delay and their families through the NDIS Early Childhood approach.
As an Early Childhood Coordinator, you will work alongside children aged 0–9 years, their families and carers to understand their strengths, goals and needs, and connect them with the supports that help them thrive. You will complete functional assessments, provide family-centred guidance and develop tailored supports that build capacity, promote inclusion and improve outcomes for children and families.
You will collaborate with early childhood providers, community organisations and key stakeholders to strengthen inclusion, build community capacity and support positive outcomes for children with disabilities.
We're growing our team! We have two full-time and one part-time (22.8 hours per week) position available until 30 June 2027, based at our Devonport office. You will work across Northwest Tasmania, providing community-based support to children and families, with regular travel required throughout the region.

Your key responsibilities will be to
Support children aged 0–9 years with disability or developmental delay and their families through the NDIS Early Childhood approach.
Build trusted relationships with families to understand their child’s strengths, goals and support needs.
Complete functional assessments and support the delivery of individualised plans and early intervention supports.
Empower families to build capacity, make informed decisions and access the supports they need.
Connect children and families with early childhood, mainstream and community supports to promote inclusion and participation.
Collaborate with families, early childhood providers and community stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for children.
Maintain accurate participant records and documentation in line with NDIS requirements and quality standards.
Requirements for Success
Relevant qualification in Early Childhood, Education, Social Work, Community Services or equivalent experience.
Experience supporting children with disabilities or developmental delay and their families using a child-centred, strengths-based approach.
Understanding of the NDIS Early Childhood approach and experience supporting families to access appropriate services and supports.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships with children, families, carers and stakeholders.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and meet service requirements.
Resilience, adaptability and the ability to navigate change while delivering quality outcomes for children and families.
Ability to meet NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIA onboarding requirements.
Current Australian Driver’s Licence with no restrictions.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
