We are seeking a qualified and compassionate podiatrist to provide mobile foot care services to residents in aged care facilities. This role involves traveling to multiple locations, delivering high-quality clinical care, and supporting the mobility, comfort, and overall wellbeing of elderly patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to assigned aged care facilities to deliver on-site podiatry services
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of foot and lower limb conditions common in elderly patients
- Perform routine foot care including nail trimming, corn and callus management, and wound care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and management plans
- Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as diabetic foot complications
- Provide education to residents and care staff on foot health and preventative care
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with regulatory standards
- Liaise with nursing staff, general practitioners, and other allied health professionals
- Ensure infection control and hygiene standards are strictly followed
- Manage scheduling, travel logistics, and patient caseload efficiently
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Podiatry or equivalent qualification
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (essential for mobile role)
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aged care standards
Pay: From $200,000.00 per year
