An outstanding leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Residence Manager to join Aeralife Watergardens .
As the leader of the residence, you will be responsible for creating a high-performing aged care community where residents receive exceptional care, employees feel supported and engaged, and operational outcomes are consistently achieved.
Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will oversee all aspects of the home's operations including resident experience, clinical governance, workforce leadership, quality and compliance, occupancy, financial performance and continuous improvement.
Working closely with your Regional Operations Manager and supported by dedicated teams across Quality, Governance & Risk, Operations, People & Culture, Finance, Procurement, IT and Marketing, you will have the opportunity to drive meaningful outcomes for residents, families and employees while contributing to the continued success of Aeralife.

The Opportunity
This is a key leadership role responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day management of the residence.
You will lead and inspire a team of clinical, lifestyle, hospitality and operational professionals to deliver exceptional resident outcomes while ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational expectations.
Success in this role will be achieved through strong leadership, effective workforce management, a commitment to continuous improvement and a genuine passion for creating a positive experience for residents, families and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and management of the residence
- Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional resident and employee outcomes
- Drive a positive, engaged and accountable workplace culture
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care and services
- Maintain compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act and all relevant regulatory requirements
- Monitor and improve quality, clinical, operational and financial performance indicators
- Oversee workforce planning, rostering and staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and skill mix
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness
- Support occupancy growth and positive customer experiences through strong stakeholder engagement
- Build trusted relationships with residents, families, healthcare providers and the broader community
- Manage risk, complaints, incidents and service delivery outcomes in line with organisational standards
- Ensure effective AN-ACC processes, funding performance and documentation practices
About You
You are a proven aged care leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, creating positive resident experiences and delivering strong operational outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum five years' experience as a Residence Manager, Facility Manager or equivalent leadership role within residential aged care
- Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act and regulatory environment
- Demonstrated experience leading successful accreditation and compliance outcomes
- Proven ability to lead, develop and engage multidisciplinary teams
- Strong financial, operational and workforce management skills
- Experience managing quality systems, continuous improvement programs and clinical governance frameworks
- Sound understanding of AN-ACC funding and aged care performance metrics
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
