Pit Crew Member - Indoor Electric Go Kart Venue (Docklands)
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join the opening team for a
brand new indoor electric go karting venue launching in Docklands, Melbourne.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a venue from the ground up and help
shape operations, team culture and guest experience from day one.
This role is primarily focused on track and pit operations, however all team members
will be cross-trained across customer service and front-of-house responsibilities. We
are looking for people who enjoy working in fast-paced environments, are confident
engaging with customers, and are willing to support across all areas of the venue as
needed.
This is a Melbourne-based role for a new venue opening. To ensure all team
members are fully trained in our systems, safety standards and operations, successful
applicants will complete a structured training period at our established venue in
Sydney prior to the Melbourne launch.
As this is a new venue launch, there will be genuine opportunity for progression into
supervisory and leadership roles as the team and venue grow.
Key Responsibilities
Track & Pit Operations:
- Sanitise, reset and prepare karts between races
- Monitor kart battery levels and report maintenance issues
- Assist guests with racing equipment (helmets, seatbelts, seat adjustments)
- Ensure safe and efficient race flow at all times
- Follow all safety procedures and respond appropriately to incidents
- Assist with track operations including opening and closing procedures
- Support general venue presentation and housekeeping duties
Guest Experience & Front of House:
- Greet guests and deliver a high standard of customer service
- Assist with registrations, bookings and session organisation
- Provide accurate information and respond to guest enquiries
- Support front-of-house and hospitality operations when required
- Assist with group bookings and event sessions
- Escalate and assist in resolving customer issues where appropriate
Venue Operations:
- Support supervisors and managers with daily operations
- Follow venue procedures, policies and training requirements
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation and safety standards
- Report hazards, damage or operational issues promptly
- Contribute to a positive and team-focused environment
Key Requirements
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and public holidays
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous experience in hospitality, entertainment, customer service, sport,
recreation or venue operations is beneficial but not essential
- Must be available to complete onboarding and training prior to venue opening
