Position Summary:
The Kalumburu Mission Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the mission facilities and services. The historic mission includes a Catholic Church, Museum, seasonal short stay accommodation, a variety of storage and out buildings, landscaped and natural areas and small-scale cattle operation. Services to the Kalumburu community include aspects of the airstrip operations and the sale of fuel. This hands-on role involves facility, grounds and vehicle management, accommodation and housekeeping services and various administration and record keeping tasks. The role is supported by members of the diocese team situated in Broome and Kununurra.
This role is a lifestyle opportunity ideally suited to 2-person team or couple.

Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Drivers licence – no restrictions
- Experience in rural/remote communities or cattle station operations.
- Experience is small scale accommodation and housekeeping services. (no food or beverage)
- Ability to undertake routine property and grounds maintenance including minor repairs.
- Knowledge and experience of cattle handling or the willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with airstrip maintenance and aviation protocols, or the willingness to learn.
- Confidence and physical ability to perform outdoor and manual tasks.
- Intermediate proficiency with technology and Microsoft office including Outlook.
- Problem solving skills and initiative.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to live and work in a remote setting with limited supervision.
