Synergie Australia is seeking Procurement Compliance Officer for a trusted client located in Melbourne (St Kilda Road)
The important parts:
- Pay: $55-65 per hour + Super
- Duration: 3-6-month contract (potential for extension or perm)
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 7.6 hours. Initial on-site required, then flexible
- Location: St Kilda Road
What you will be required to do:
You'll play a key role in reviewing and validating purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and supporting value-for-money purchasing decisions across the business.
- Reviewing purchase requisitions routed to Procurement Compliance
- Applying standardised checklists (value thresholds, quotes, attachments, DAL, supplier validation, etc.)
- Validating submissions across categories including consumables, logistics, plant & equipment, construction, and site services
- Identifying incorrect categories, incomplete information, and compliance gaps
- Actioning requisitions (approve, hold, reject) with clear feedback to stakeholders
- Assessing supplier quotes, scopes, rate cards and contract alignment
- Supporting low-complexity RFQs where required
- Recording outcomes and maintaining audit integrity (No PO No Pay compliance)
- Engaging with stakeholders to guide compliant procurement practices
- Escalating high-risk or non-compliant requisitions
- Identifying trends and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
To be successful in the role you will:
- Have 2+ years' experience in procurement, contracts, buying, or commercial analysis
- Demonstrate strong understanding of procurement categories (FM, construction, logistics, plant, consumables)
- Be able to interpret procurement policy, Delegation of Authority (DAL), contracts and rate cards
- Have experience with ERP/eProcurement systems (Coupa preferred)
- Possess strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Be confident challenging stakeholders professionally and constructively
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Have intermediate Excel skills (Monday.com experience advantageous)
