What You'll Do
As a Venue Concierge, you'll be the welcoming face of our events, ensuring every wedding, ceremony and premium function runs seamlessly from start to finish. You'll provide onsite support to guests, clients, vendors and suppliers, proactively resolving operational issues while delivering exceptional service that creates memorable experiences. Working closely with the Venue Sales Lead, you'll also assist in showcasing our stunning venues to prospective clients and help prepare event spaces to meet booking requirements, including supporting bump-in and bump-out activities.
You'll play a key role in protecting the Gardens and enhancing the visitor experience by ensuring events comply with venue guidelines, permit conditions and operational procedures. By maintaining strong communication with internal teams, managing the public interface around event spaces and anticipating potential impacts on booked events, you'll help create smooth event operations while preserving the beauty and integrity of Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria.
What You'll Bring
You'll bring experience in a customer-facing role within hospitality, events, tourism, venues or a similar operational environment, along with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences. You thrive in fast-paced settings, confidently balancing competing priorities while using sound judgement, initiative and strong problem-solving skills to respond calmly and professionally to changing situations. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build positive relationships with a wide range of people, and your keen attention to detail and situational awareness ensure events run smoothly and safely. Experience in venue operations or relevant qualifications in hospitality, event coordination, or visitor services is considered advantageous.
You will hold a current Victorian Driver's Licence and be willing to work across both Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria sites. This role also requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings and peak seasonal event periods to support our exciting calendar of events.
