Due to continued growth and project success, RPS is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Project Manager – ICT to join our expanding Project Management team in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Practice Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of ICT projects for government and corporate clients. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering exposure to a diverse range of technology and business transformation initiatives.

The Opportunity
As an Assistant Project Manager – ICT, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of ICT projects, working closely with clients, consultants and project stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of ICT projects and business transformation initiatives.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, reporting and coordination activities.
- Coordinate external consultants and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to change management activities, including planning, communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Support project discovery, requirements gathering and program development activities.
- Assist with the preparation of project documentation, reports and presentations.

Administer ICT systems, assist with system implementation and third-party integrations, Bi report developments
- Provide training and support to business users and small teams.

Monitor project progress and identify risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
About You
You are a proactive and organised professional with a passion for technology and project delivery. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving problems, and can confidently build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Essential Skills and Experience

Experience or strong interest in supporting the delivery of ICT projects or programs.

Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience using Microsoft technologies, including:

SharePoint
- Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Excel
- Power BI

Knowledge or strong interest in project delivery methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Australian citizenship and holding or successfully obtaining and retaining a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
Desirable
- Project management qualification or formal project management training.

Experience working within government or large corporate environments.

Exposure to organisational change management and stakeholder engagement activities.
