Harry Design Studio is currently developing a new platform to support builders, designers and residential construction businesses. We are looking for a motivated IT Support person to join our team on a part-time basis and assist with the development, setup and ongoing support of the platform.
This role would suit a recent IT graduate, junior IT professional, or someone with strong technical skills who is interested in growing with a small but expanding design and construction-related business.
About the role
You will assist with general IT support, platform testing, troubleshooting, system setup, user support and day-to-day technology tasks. As the platform grows, there may be an opportunity for this role to become full-time after 3–6 months.
Key responsibilities
- Provide general IT support for the business and platform
- Assist with testing and improving the platform
- Troubleshoot basic software, website, email, cloud storage and system issues
- Help manage files, data, user accounts and digital workflows
- Communicate with internal staff and external users when required
- Support the setup and improvement of business systems
- Assist with documentation, reporting and user feedback
- Work closely with the business owner to improve the platform and internal processes
The ideal candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- A recent IT graduate, IT student, or junior IT support person
- Interested in technology, design and residential construction
- Smart, quick to learn and proactive
- A good communicator
- Organised and reliable
- Able to work independently and solve problems
- Comfortable learning new systems and platforms
- Interested in growing with the company long term
Preferred skills and experience
- Basic knowledge of IT support, websites, software or platform systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, cloud storage and email systems
- Basic understanding of websites, hosting, domains or online platforms
- Ability to read or understand architectural drawings is highly preferred
- Interest in architecture, building design or residential construction is an advantage
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
