Floor Preparation Australia is a leading provider of floor preparation solutions, specialising
in advanced techniques such as floor surveying, planning, levelling, grinding, and stripping
to ensure flawless floor preparation and finishing.
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Floor Tiler eager to work with our company
and grow with us. You will be part of a skilled crew of trade workers delivering quality
work for civil transport construction and infrastructure projects. You duties will include
the following
Job tasks and responsibilities
· Interpret project plans to measure and mark floor surfaces, laying out tiling work
in accordance with specifications.
- Prepare floors by removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive, repairing holes and
cracks, and cleaning surfaces to ensure they are primed for tiling.
- Spread adhesive evenly onto prepared surfaces and position tiles with precision to
achieve a durable and flawless result.
- Utilise specialised tile-cutting tools to accurately cut and shape tiles for edges,
corners, and around obstacles such as fittings and pipes.
- Align and space tiles correctly, ensuring they meet design standards and project
requirements.
- Apply grout to tiles, thoroughly clean surfaces, and remove any excess grout to
deliver a professional, polished appearance.
- Implement waterproofing systems to safeguard installations and extend their
lifespan.
- Install specialty flooring materials based on project needs
Skills required
At least a relevant Certificate IV in the nominated occupation and 1 year of full time relevant work experience in the nominated occupation
