THE ROLE
As an Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial performance of our business through accurate reporting, analysis and financial control. Working closely with operational stakeholders, you'll gain exposure across month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax, compliance and business partnering activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant looking to broaden their experience within a large, complex and growing organisation.
Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):
- Preparing month-end journals, reconciliations and financial reports
- Supporting the delivery of accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Supporting statutory reporting, audits and compliance requirements
- Preparing tax information and working with external advisors
- Managing intercompany transactions and balance reconciliations
- Assisting with cash management and treasury activities
- Partnering with operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and controls
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion
- Experience in financial accounting, management reporting or a similar role
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience supporting month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
- Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to stakeholder management
