WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand / MPU Operator to join our WA operations. This is a hands-on role with leadership responsibility, ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic mining environments and enjoys guiding teams while staying actively involved in operations.
You will be responsible for the safe operation of plant and MPU equipment, coordinating raw material handling, supporting reload activities, and ensuring bulk explosives are delivered safely and efficiently to the blast bench. You’ll also step into supervisory responsibilities as required, supporting the Site Supervisor in driving safety, performance, and team alignment.
Success in this role requires strong operational discipline, the ability to plan and delegate tasks, and a genuine commitment to Zero Harm.
Ideally you will have;
- Experience operating MPUs and working in explosives/reload environments
- Strong understanding of Dangerous Goods and Chain of Custody requirements
- Experience in stock management and inventory control at reload
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and delegate tasks onsite
- Strong written, numeracy, and communication skills
- WA Statutory Supervisor Training (Essential)
- DMIRS Statutory Exam completion (Highly desired)
- A proactive, team-first mindset with strong safety focus
