About the role
Bring your experience and enthusiasm for helping people to one of Australia’s most trusted organisations. As a Shop Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes customers, leads volunteers, and helps create a warm, inclusive environment in your local Red Cross Store.
In this hands on role, you’ll support the day to day running of the store by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and assisting with donations. You’ll work closely with the Shop Manager to deliver retail KPIs and lead volunteers to ensure the store is safe, organised, and ready for trade each day.
What you will bring
- Experience in retail, sales, or customer facing service roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, customer focused approach and genuine interest in helping others
- Good presentation and visual merchandising skills
- Awareness of fashion trends and brands
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of WHS guidelines and hazards

This role is covered by the General Retail Industry Award 2020, Level 3. Pay from $27.58 / hour + casual loading + superannuation, with access to salary packaging.
