Manage Native Vegetation, Playgrounds & Infrastructure
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading multiple operational teams delivering services across Native Vegetation, Playgrounds, Infrastructure, Renovations and Mulching within the City of Port Phillip municipality. This role is responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Responsibilities include:

Supervise and coordinate multiple operational teams to ensure efficient, safe and high-quality service delivery.

Plan, schedule and monitor daily works across native vegetation management, playground maintenance and renovations, infrastructure maintenance and mulching programs.

Ensure all works are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and client expectations.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, providing regular updates on operational activities.

Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including operational performance, safety and stakeholder updates.

Lead, mentor and develop Team Leaders and field staff through regular coaching, performance reviews and ongoing support.

Promote and implement safe work practices, fostering a strong safety-first culture across all teams.

Conduct regular WHS inspections, identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.

Proactively raise workplace health and safety matters with the Operations Manager and WHS Advisor.

Participate in toolbox meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
About You
-
Diploma of Conservation and Land Management or a related qualification (highly regarded).

Demonstrated experience supervising multiple operational teams within open space maintenance or similar service-based contracts.

Strong understanding of native vegetation management, playground maintenance, infrastructure maintenance and open space operations.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop high-performing teams.

Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and continuous improvement.

Valid National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
-
Valid White Card.
-
Valid Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain.

Valid Driver's Licence.
