What we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to provide frontline leadership to a field-based works team delivering scheduled and reactive road construction and maintenance activities. This hands-on role supports the Supervisor through on-site coordination, technical guidance and strong safety leadership to ensure works are delivered on time, to specification and to Council standards.
What your day will look like:
- Supervise and coordinate daily works activities and allocate tasks
- Provide on-site leadership, coaching and support to field crews
- Ensure WHS compliance, safe systems of work and traffic management
- Support work programming, resourcing and problem solving
- Coordinate plant, equipment and materials efficiently
- Record works, timesheets and job data in Council systems

What you’ll need for success:
- Valid class C or CA driver licence (provisional or open) to drive a vehicle in Queensland
- General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Demonstrated experience leading a field-based works team
- Strong knowledge of WHS and risk management in construction environments
- Ability to deliver scheduled and reactive works to quality and timeframes
- Effective communication skills and customer-focused approach
- Ability to use mobile devices and works management systems
What’s nice to have:
- Certificate III (AQF Level 3 or above) in Civil Construction
- Current First Aid Certificate
