Edge Workshop is a well-established Western Australian manufacturer specialising in custom architectural metalwork. We design and manufacture high-quality letterboxes, decorative screens, fencing, gates, signage and bespoke architectural products for residential and commercial projects.
Every project is custom designed and manufactured in-house, giving our team the opportunity to work on a wide variety of unique projects from concept through to production.
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson / CAD Designer to join our friendly, close-knit team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, producing accurate technical drawings and working directly with clients to bring ideas to life.
About the Role
Working closely with our customers and production team, you will be responsible for producing accurate drawings ready for manufacture while ensuring every project meets our high quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing architectural and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
- Producing customer presentation drawings and production-ready files.
- Liaising directly with residential builders, architects, designers and private clients.
- Interpreting architectural plans, specifications and relevant building requirements.
- Preparing preliminary concepts, detailed shop drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Reviewing architectural drawings and tender documents.
- Assisting with product development and custom design solutions.
- Working closely with the workshop team to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Ensuring exceptional attention to detail throughout every project.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Architectural degree
- Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD essential).
- Graphic design experience using Adobe Illustrator or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Desirable:
- Experience within architectural metalwork, fabrication or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and construction methods.
- Understanding of architectural drawings and building documentation.

- Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm.
- Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm.

Pay: Up to $96,400.00 per year
