Female Disability Support Worker – Cannon Hill Area (Consistent In-Home Support)About the Role
We are seeking MATURED, compassionate, and reliable Female Disability Support Workers to provide consistent in-home support for an 8-year-old child in the Cannon Hill area.
This role focuses on creating a safe, structured, and low-stimulus environment while supporting the participant with daily routines, emotional regulation, and overall wellbeing. The ideal candidate will be calm, patient, nurturing, and committed to maintaining consistency in their approach.
Shift Availability
Support is required Monday to Sunday across the following shifts:
- 7:00am – 12:00pm
- 2:30pm – 8:00pm
Applicants must be available to commit to regular ongoing shifts to provide continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide gentle assistance with daily routines and personal care.
- Maintain a calm, predictable, and low-stimulus environment.
- Follow established care plans and behavioural support strategies consistently.
- Support emotional regulation through patient and reassuring interactions.
- Assist with meal preparation, light household duties, and daily living activities.
- Complete accurate progress notes and communicate relevant observations.
Ideal Candidate

- Comfortable following structured routines and support plans.
- Compassionate and experienced working with children or individuals with complex support needs.
- Able to work independently while maintaining a person-centred approach.
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver Licence.
- Reliable and insured vehicle.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or ability to obtain one.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:
- Disability support
- Behaviour support
- Child-focused support
- Autism and sensory-sensitive environments
- High-needs or complex care

This position may not be suitable for applicants who prefer fast-paced or highly social environments, frequently change routines or support approaches, or are uncomfortable working within structured, low-stimulus settings.
