About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.
The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Alcohol and Other Drugs service offers free, non-judgmental services and treatments for drug and/or alcohol use, including information and support for families. Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.
Are you looking for a career where your clinical skills can create lasting change in the lives of some of the community’s most vulnerable people? The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Drug and Alcohol Service is seeking a passionate and dedicated clinician to join our Forensic Drug and Alcohol Service, providing specialist case management and counselling to clients participating in the MERIT and Drug Court programs.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of health and justice, supporting individuals whose alcohol and other drug use has contributed to involvement with the criminal justice system. In this challenging and highly rewarding role, you will work closely with clients to address substance use issues, promote recovery, reduce reoffending, and improve long-term health and social outcomes. Through the delivery of evidence-based interventions, you will build strong therapeutic relationships, coordinate care across a range of services, and help clients navigate complex personal and systemic challenges.
We are looking for a resilient and compassionate professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care. In return, you will join a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team, receive ongoing professional development opportunities, and have the chance to make a genuine difference in a specialist area of practice where skilled clinicians are highly valued.
If you are seeking a career that offers variety, challenge and the opportunity to positively impact individuals, families and communities, we encourage you to apply and become part of a service dedicated to changing lives through treatment, support and recovery.
