Honour Care is currently looking for a friendly, energetic and reliable Support Worker to support a 12-year-old NDIS participant in the Moreton Bay area.
The main focus of this role is to support the participant to attend group activities, community programs and social activities, while helping them build confidence, independence and social skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking the participant to and from suitable group activities
- Supporting participation in community and recreational activities
- Encouraging social interaction and engagement with other children
- Providing appropriate supervision and ensuring the participant’s safety
- Supporting the participant to develop confidence and independence
- Communicating appropriately with the participant’s family and Honour Care
- Providing transport/community access support where required
We are looking for someone who is patient, positive, engaging and comfortable working with children. Previous experience supporting children or young people with disability would be highly regarded.
Applicants should have the relevant NDIS worker screening requirements, a valid driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
