Civil Site Supervisor

Newlands Group is a family-owned civil and commercial construction company based in Toowoomba, delivering infrastructure that enriches communities. With a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to join our team.
This hands‑on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in large‑scale earthworks environments, leads from the front, and maintains strong safety, productivity and quality standards across site‑based projects.
About the Role
As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple civil construction projects. You’ll be responsible for coordinating crews, plant and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project programs. This role works closely with Project Managers, Engineers and other Supervisors to drive successful outcomes on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate subdivision construction activities from bulk earthworks through to final completion
- Lead and manage site crews, plant operators and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe project delivery
- Plan and sequence earthworks activities in line with construction programs
- Ensure all works comply with WHS requirements, SWMS and company procedures
- Coordinate plant, labour and materials to maximise productivity
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, surveyors and clients as required
- Monitor quality, levels, tolerances and site standards
- Identify and proactively resolve on‑site issues and risks
- Maintain site records, reporting and daily documentation
About You
You are an experienced civil construction professional with a strong background in subdivision projects and a practical, hands-on leadership style.
You will bring:
- Trade qualification in Civil Construction (Cert III of IV)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position, with expertise in bulk earthworks and subdivisions.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and sequencing
- Proven ability to lead site crews and manage plant‑intensive operations
- Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and site compliance
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s licence
- White Card (required)
