We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join our Women’s Buying team and deliver products in line with latest trends to City Beach customers. In this role, you will spend your days analysing trends, creating new products, and ensuring that when a customer needs our product, it is in the right place for them.
You will work closely with the brands that you love, to keep City Beach at the forefront of men’s fashion by shopping new season looks and using your knowledge of consumer behaviour and forecasts to deliver these products to our stores.
Work closely with your Buyer to monitor the sales of your products
Allocate your product stock based on performance and demand from our stores
Coordinate appointments for buyers including range showings and supplier appointments
Create forecasts for new products and ranges
Build and manage relationships with suppliers throughout the product development process
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure KPI’s are met
Write, review, and organise purchase orders for suppliers
Monitor cancellations and changes to delivery date throughout the production process
General administration duties for your department
Potential travel to attend buying trips
Previous experience in Buying is preferred
Fashion retail leadership experience
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Excel
Well-developed communication and organisational skills
The ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Strong analytical capabilities
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
A keen interest in fashion trends and an ability to know what’s next
