Deliver Exceptional Service – Join Our Team as a Retail Sales Assistant in Cannington!
We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in Cannington, Australia. In this role, you'll be the face of our store, delivering outstanding customer service while supporting our team in achieving sales targets and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. Reporting to the Store Manager, you'll play a vital role in creating positive customer experiences and contributing to our store's success.
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, understanding their needs, and offering knowledgeable product recommendations.
Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash with precision and integrity.
Contribute to achieving store sales targets and performance goals through proactive engagement and upselling opportunities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented store environment, including stock rotation, merchandising, and inventory management.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing merchandise while ensuring accurate stock records.
Support team members and collaborate effectively to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive work atmosphere.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety practices to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers.
Basic computer literacy and proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems (or willingness to learn).
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as needed.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings as required.
Genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service and supporting team success.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a related field.
Experience with cash handling and reconciliation.
Knowledge of inventory management systems.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
