About the Role
Adelaide Designer Windows is a growing Adelaide-based window and door manufacturing company, and we are looking for an experienced and reliable Window & Door Fabricator / Installer / Glazier to join our team.
This is a hands-on role covering window and door fabrication, warehouse operations, site installation and glazing.
We are looking for someone who has some practical experience in the aluminium window and door industry and wants to develop their skills further in a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Window & Door Fabrication
- Fabricate aluminium windows and doors to specifications and production requirements
- Read and follow cutting lists, drawings and fabrication instructions
- Cut, assemble and prepare aluminium frames
- Install hardware, locks, rollers, handles and other components
- Carry out quality checks on completed products
- Ensure finished windows and doors meet required quality standards
Warehouse & Materials
- Organise and maintain aluminium sections, glass, hardware and other materials
- Receive, check and safely store materials
- Prepare materials and components for production
- Pick and organise completed windows and doors for delivery
- Load and unload materials and finished products
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop/warehouse
Site Installation (Occasional)
- Install aluminium windows and doors on residential and commercial projects
- Assist with site measurements and preparation where required
- Read and follow installation drawings and instructions
- Adjust, seal and finish installations
- Work safely and professionally on construction sites
Glazing
- Glaze windows and doors in the workshop and/or on site
- Handle glass safely and correctly
- Install different types of glass, including double glazing, laminated and toughened glass
- Use appropriate glazing tools and equipment
- Ensure a high-quality finish on completed installations
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in aluminium windows, doors, glazing or construction
- Ideally 1–2 years or more of relevant experience
- Experience with window/door fabrication is highly desirable
- Glazing experience will be highly regarded
- Basic ability to read drawings and measurements
- Good understanding of aluminium window and door systems
- Physically fit and comfortable handling windows, doors and glass
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Valid Australian driver's licence
