Job Description:
Join a global leader in energy storage and play a key role in delivering innovative grid-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Australia. Working closely with project, engineering, and delivery teams, you'll support the development of high-quality electrical engineering solutions, design packages, and technical deliverables that help power Australia's energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver engineering work packages across assigned projects.
- Prepare, review, and manage electrical engineering deliverables in line with project schedules.
- Support the development and review of electrical and Balance of Plant (BoP) designs.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure engineering outputs comply with relevant standards, specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation including specifications, scopes of work, and engineering reports.
- Support construction and commissioning activities by providing technical guidance and issue resolution.
- Monitor engineering progress, risks, and delivery milestones to ensure quality and on-time project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years' electrical engineering experience.
- Experience within power, utilities, transmission, substations, renewable energy, BESS, or other grid-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience within EPC project environments involving HV systems, wind, solar, or power generation.
- Experience preparing, reviewing, or coordinating engineering design packages and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, compliance requirements, and quality processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Requirements
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) highly regarded.
- Experience within an Owner's Engineer, EPC, utility, engineering consultancy, or major infrastructure environment.
- HV electrical, substation, rail power, or infrastructure project experience will be considered highly transferable.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how engineering decisions impact project cost, schedule, and delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence, initiative, and accountability.
- Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
