We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Daily Reconciliation Specialist (Accountant - IVF & Medicare Billing) to join our team at City Fertility. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial data across our IVF operations, with a strong focus on Medicare billing, patient accounts and reconciliation processes. About the role
The Daily Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions across the organisation, with a particular focus on IVF-related billing, Medicare processing, and patient accounts. This role plays a vital part in supporting operational efficiency, compliance, and an exceptional patient experience through precise financial management.
What you will do

Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, EFTPOS, and payment systems

Reconcile Medicare claims, health fund payments, and patient billing

Investigate and resolve discrepancies across financial systems and reports

Process and reconcile credit card transactions via virtual terminals

Maintain accurate patient accounts, including adjustments and corrections

Post payments (Medicare, patient, health fund, and other receipts) to systems

Collaborate with revenue cycle, clinic, and finance teams to resolve issues

Ensure compliance with Medicare requirements and healthcare billing standards

Prepare reconciliation reports, audit trails, and documentation

Support month-end close processes and quality assurance checks

Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
What we are looking for

Proven experience (2–3+ years) in reconciliation, accounting, or healthcare billing

Strong understanding of Medicare billing and/or health fund processing

High attention to detail with advanced Excel and financial systems skills
-
Ability to investigate discrepancies and work collaboratively to resolve issues
-
Professional communication skills with a high level of integrity and confidentiality
