About the opportunity:
The Structural Engineer reports to the Engineering Design and Manufacturing Manager and is part of the Engineering team. The key focus of this role is to deliver key strategic engineering projects and lead continuous improvement of the Supaloc system in line with quality, compliance, and commercial objectives. More specifically, you will:
- Lead and deliver structural engineering projects aligned to business strategy, market trends, and customer requirements
- Provide technical and strategic leadership to achieve high quality, compliant, and commercially sound design outcomes
- Define project strategies, design approaches, and risk mitigation plans to optimise cost, schedule, and quality
- Perform structural analysis and oversee engineering designs, reports, drawings, and technical documentation
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery
- Drive continuous improvement of structural products, systems, and processes through research and analysis
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Support product development, testing, and issue resolution while maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships
About you:
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:
- Civil or Structural engineering background
- 5+ years proven experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building structures within the manufacturing or construction industry
- Demonstrated project management capability, effectively managing scope, timelines, and stakeholders
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and outcomes
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills
- Self driven and autonomous, while also being a collaborative and reliable team player
- Knowledge within residential construction and steel frame is highly regarded
- Ability to travel interstate as required
