The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Workforce Services Coordinator to provide a critical role within Security & Emergency Services Group, Corrections Victoria.
About the Business Unit
The Security and Emergency Services Group (SESG) provides proactive security services and incident and emergency response to the correctional system and is responsible for providing immediate and longer-term support through its diverse portfolios such as emergency and incident response, High Security Escort of prisoners, state-wide training services, barrier control, search and K9 services and management of firearms.
About the Role
As the Workforce Services Coordinator you will lead in the ongoing development and day-day management of the SESG training portfolio, ensuring all training and assessment activities comply with relevant policies and legislation.
The role is responsible for overseeing the Workforce Services Officers, who coordinate SESG operational staff in service delivery to the correctional system. The role also supports the Manager, Workforce Services with workforce related projects.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead the SESG training portfolio, including the development and continuous improvement of SESG training.

Develop and maintain accurate training records, anticipating future training requirements for staff ensuring training is delivered in a consistent, timely and within budget across all SESG portfolios

Coordinate training activities for the SESG and work with state-wide stakeholders.

Manage and delegate stakeholder engagement and enquiries related to SESG training.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Knowledge of SESG, State Training Group and the Emergency Response Group operations and procedures would be advantageous.

Knowledge of Corrections Victoria and Department of Justice and Community Safety policies, as well as legislation relevant to the operations of SESG.

Computer literate with a working knowledge of the full range of Microsoft Windows and MS Office application suite software.
