GARDENING TEAM LEADER
About the role
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on gardener ready to step up and lead. At Jardins Haute Couture, our team leader runs daily field operations, sets the standard for quality work, and looks after the crew. If you're someone who takes pride in what you do, communicates well, and wants to build something longterm — this role is for you.
We meet as a team every Tuesday, and we're serious about growing the right people from within.

- Give feedback regularly and help the team improve over time
- Take direction from management and pass it on clearly to the crew
Quality of work and horticultural standards
- Carry out hands-on gardening work including pruning, planting, lawn care, mulching, weeding, and pest and disease management
- Check irrigation systems and flag any plant health concerns with recommendations
- Walk through finished work before leaving each site and make sure it meets our standard
- Look for small ways to improve how the team works and the results we deliver
Client communication
- Be the main point of contact for clients on site
- Keep clients informed, raise any issues early, and represent the business well
Tools, vehicles and equipment
- Make sure tools and machinery are used correctly and cleaned at the end of each shift
- Keep vehicles, trailers, and equipment tidy, stocked, and ready to go
- Do basic pre-start checks (fuel, oil, tyres, safety gear) and report anything that needs attention
- Handle tools, chemicals, and green waste safely and responsibly
Planning and reporting
- Plan the schedule to hit deadlines and keep jobs running efficiently
- Keep clear records of hours, materials, and site notes
- Keep management in the loop on job progress, staff matters, and equipment needs
Health, safety and compliance
- Run toolbox talks and make sure the team follows safety procedures on every job
- Ensure chemicals, tools, and machinery are used safely at all times
- Report any incidents, hazards, or near misses straight away
What we offer
- Competitive pay and stable full-time hours
- Plenty of variety and real autonomy in the role
