We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Event Staff to join our casual events team. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals looking for flexible work in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
In addition to providing exceptional food and beverage service, successful candidates may be responsible for coordinating and directing a team of waitstaff to ensure service is delivered professionally, efficiently, and to the high standards expected by our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Food and beverage service including canapé, buffet and plated meal service
- Bar service, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (RSA required)
- Event setup and pack-down
- Assisting kitchen and event teams as required
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Lead and coordinate small teams of waitstaff during events
- Brief team members on event requirements and service expectations
- Monitor service standards and assist team members as required throughout the event
- Liaise with event supervisors, chefs, and venue representatives to ensure smooth event execution
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' hospitality or event experience
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Ability to travel to various event locations across the Perth metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Previous experience in weddings, corporate functions, or large-scale events
- Ability to supervise and coordinate multiple waitstaff during busy service periods
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confidence in making decisions and resolving issues during events
- Professional presentation and positive attitude
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
Desirable
- Food Safe Certificate
- Approved Police Clearance
- Wedding and corporate event leadership experience
- Experience as a Senior Waiter, Team Leader, Function Supervisor, or Event Supervisor
- Experience with bar service and cocktail functions
We are based in Port Kennedy but Function locations range form Dwellingup to Swan Valley so travel is required. - one way travel paid for jobs over 35KM from port Kennedy.
