About the Role
Set in the leafy streets of Spring Hill, just a stone's throw from Brisbane's CBD and Fortitude Valley, Kennigo Hotel strikes the balance between homely comfort and cosmopolitan flair.
We're looking for a Guest Service Agent to be the welcoming face our guests meet at check-in and their go-to for anything they need throughout their stay - whether that's a restaurant recommendation, a late check-out, or simply a friendly chat. This role is perfect for someone who takes genuine pride in personalised service and enjoys getting to know the guests who come back to Kennigo time and again.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, efficient check-in and check-out experience, ensuring every guest feels welcomed from arrival to departure.
- Respond to guest enquiries in person, by phone and via email, providing accurate information and local recommendations.
- Manage bookings, payments, and reservation changes accurately using the property management system.
- Anticipate and resolve guest requests and concerns promptly, escalating where needed to ensure a positive outcome.
- Liaise with housekeeping and other departments to coordinate room readiness and special requests.
- Complete administrative and cashiering duties, including shift reconciliation and reporting.
- Maintain a clean, well-presented reception and lobby area at all times.
- Uphold hotel policies, procedures, and WH&S guidelines across front-of-house operations.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in front office, guest services, or a similar customer-facing hospitality role is highly regarded.
- A genuine passion for delivering personalised, attentive service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly manner.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm across a variety of guest situations.
- Proficiency with property management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A team player who takes ownership and pride in every guest interaction.
