Waratah Preschool and Nursery has proudly served the Berowra community for more than 40 years. We are known for our close relationships with children and families, child-centred practices, and thoughtfully designed learning environments.
We are seeking a warm, reliable and enthusiastic Certificate III Early Childhood Educator to join our experienced team in a permanent position, earning $33–$38 per hour, based on qualifications and relevant experience.
About the role
In this role, you will:
- Build secure, respectful relationships with children and families.
- Support engaging, play-based learning experiences.
- Contribute to observations, programming and learning documentation.
- Help create safe, inclusive and inspiring learning environments.
- Work collaboratively with educators and the service leadership team.
- Contribute to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
- Promote the safety, dignity and wellbeing of every child.
About you
You will bring:
- An ACECQA-approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or be actively working towards completion.
- A current NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
- A genuine commitment to child safety and children’s wellbeing.
- Warm, respectful communication with children, families and colleagues.
- Reliability, initiative and a collaborative approach.
- Current first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain it before commencement.
Previous experience in a centre-based early childhood service is desirable, but we also welcome developing educators who have the right attitude and a genuine desire to learn.

- Berowra NSW 2081: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
