The opportunity
Hope Anchor Care is seeking an experienced disability support worker to engage on a subcontractor basis, working one-on-one with a young man we support. Ongoing, regular work for the right person. You'll operate under your own ABN and invoice for services delivered — this is a contractor engagement, not employment.
Availability required:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- 2:00pm – 5:00pm and 5:00pm – 8:00pm
What's involved
- 1:1 community access, social support and errands
- Support with daily living, routine and companionship
- Transport to and from activities
- Building genuine rapport and supporting independence
About the participant
He's a bright, quick-witted young man with a strong personality and a great sense of humour. He connects best with people who are open-minded, easy-going and up for a good conversation. His interests include martial arts and wrestling, the gym and fitness, video games, Star Wars, cars and sci-fi — so someone active, energetic and open to shared interests will build rapport fast. He also enjoys nature walks and relaxed community outings.
Requirements
- Active ABN with public liability and professional indemnity insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Police check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Valid driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
- Previous disability or community support experience
